Dr. Veronika Partikova, alias Verca
A kung fu World Champion, and Ph.D. holder in Sport Psychology, spent the last 10 years living in Asia for martial arts. 20 years of coaching experience.

I have taught nearly 1000 people, both children and adults around the world. I have been teaching this Chinese martial art to people in Hong Kong, including being a Sports university lecturer.

I am an MMA fighter, also fighting professionally in Muay Thai.
To my knowledge, there is no single kung fu coach in the world with a Ph.D. and a real fighting career.

What is this not?
This online coaching program does not use live videos for coaching. There is no fighting included in the program and you will not be asked to drill with a partner (you may if you want to). Module 1 teaches 1 form and 21 techniques, all bare hand; weapons are not taught in Module 1.

What is the duration of this online kung fu coaching program?Module 1 is 3 months long, with 2 training sessions per week.

What does this online coaching program consist of?Training sessions 2x per week in video and written form, feedback on your training videos, 1 on 1 calls, group calls, Facebook group community, educational videos, all techniques learned in Module 1 in video and written form with names in English and Cantonese (including traditional characters). Your training session consists of techniques, form, exercises, and mobility, prehab, strength and conditioning.

How long is each session?Depending on you, the session can be done in 40 minutes as well as in 90. But you are encouraged to do as little as 10, even if that means just to practice your mobility routine that day. Habit beats motivation! And good habits can bring amazing results.

What style of kung fu will I be learning?Hung Gar/Hung Kuen, a southern Chinese style of martial art, also nicknamed Tiger and Crane.

Who is the coach? Will I have direct contact?My name is Veronika Partikova, but I prefer to be called Verca. I have been training martial arts since 1999, coaching for the past 20 years. I am black belt holder in Karate, Ph.D. title holder in Sport Psychology, and World Champion title holder in kung fu. I have been living in Asia for the past 10 years, and fighting MMA and professional Muay Thai. I am a registered kung fu coach of the Hong Kong Martial Arts Coaching Association. Yes, I will be in touch with you personally via videos, calls and messages.

Is this program for adults or can I enroll my child?If your child is 12+ years old, they can surely become a member. If you child is younger, and you want to have a quality time spent together, I recommend becoming a member as a parent and practice together.

Will I obtain any belt during the program?There are no belts in kung fu, even though some schools use an internal system of belt grading. I use stripes, and Module 1 covers white and yellow stripes.

Do I have to fight or hit a boxing bag?You don’t need to fight with anyone, you don’t need a training partner nor a boxing bag at home.

Does this program only contain kung fu?No, you will also get prehab and mobility routines, and strength training and conditioning.
